All TGFL members, supporters, and fans are invited to come out for an evening of fun and sports networking.

OCT 15 2011	TGFL End of Season Banquet/ Awards 2-5 PM Sandwiches, fried food, fruits, and vegetables will be provided. We will also be presenting our league awards which recognize the achievements of our membership. This year we will have two sets of awards: trophies, as voted on by the team captains and certificates, as voted on by your fellow teammates.

AUG 25 2011	TGFL Women's Exhibition Game 6:30pm The objective of the WEG is to expose the flag football experience to more women and further build the TGFL's reputation across the city. All women - existing TGFL players and non TGFL players - are welcome to participate. To participate, all women must register first by emailing info@torontogayfootball.com. Registration deadline is Sunday, August 21st at 6:00 pm. After this deadline, the teams will be formed and all participants will be notified by email. If you want to participate, please respond before this deadline. For the benefit of all the WEG participants, we ask that all women who want to register for the WEG be available for a time block spanning 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Post-WEG social get-together at our TGFL sponsor, Keating Channel Pub http://www.keatingchannelpub.com/ located at 2 Villiers Street (just off Cherry St., close to the Cherry Beach Sports Field). Come meet your fellow WEG team members and WEG opponent team members in this casual mixer over food and drinks. The TGFL is devoting and contributing its own resources to insure the success of the WEG. We'll supply equipment, field permit, team advisors, referees, etc. The TGFL views the WEG as part of our community development initiatives. We are hoping to give back to the community in launching this event.
AUG 22 2011	Referees Refresher 6:45pm O'Gradys - Upstairs The playoffs are coming up, which means that it's more of a priority than ever to make sure we are all on the same page. If you were a referee at some point this season, please join us for a short referee meeting. We will review: ways to become more efficient specific rules that need clarifying being on the same page in regards to cracking down on unsportsmanlike conduct

We would like to hear from our members regarding things they liked or didn't like this season and for ways on how we can continue to make the TGFL better for everyone. We will also be holding our annual elections in September for positions whose terms will be ending. Commissioner (2-year term) League Representative (2-year term) Treasurer (2-year term) Secretary (1-year term) If you have an opinion or are interested in becoming a part of the TGFL Executive, please come out to the AGM. We hope to see you all there! DEC 04 2010	CGSL/TSVL/TGFL Annual Christmas Party & Toy Drive 2pm - 6pm The TGFL will be partnering with the CGSL and TSVL this year for their annual Holiday Party & Toy Drive on December 4th, 2010 at Woodys (see attached flier). We invite all players to join us for an afternoon filled with fun and plenty of food. Come and mingle with friends and teammates from the previous season as we entertain you. Please bring a new unwrapped toy to the event. All toys will be donated to the St. James Town Committee. They are an organization that supports children in a neighbourhood where roughly 40% of families live below the poverty line. Any donation made towards this cause will be greatly appreciated! NOV 28 2010	TGFL Grey Cup Party 5:30pm (Game starts at 6:30pm) The TGFL will be hosting a Grey Cup party on Sunday, November 28th at O'Grady's. Come on out and catch up with your fellow TGFLers for an afternoon of fun and football! There will be a 50/50 draw and prizes for trivia. For food and drink specials, there will be a $5 snack menu with chili fries, hot dogs, nachos, etc. Also, there will be a special for a domestic pitcher of beer with 2 lbs. of wings OR nachos for $25. JUL 18 2010	First Annual TGFL Beach "Slap" Football Tournament (at Ashbridges Bay) 11AM - 4PM It's exactly what you think it is! Football played on the wide sandy beach at Ashbridges Bay, easily accessible by TTC. Come enjoy a day of sun and fun with all of your TGFL friends in the new game of Beach-Slap Football. Seven downs for the beach. Special rules to make the game even more fun. No tackles, no flags. Receivers with the football are stopped by ... you guessed it ... a slap on the sides or back (anywhere clothing is to be found!). So wear your speedo , bikini, or board shorts and enjoy the fun!
